Fundraising

One of the things that’s become very important to me in the last year and a half is fundraising for more and better research into miscarriage.

As you may have seen elsewhere on the blog, I’m a supporter of Tommy’s, the baby charity, which funds vital research into miscarriage, as well as premature and stillbirth and generally making pregnancy safer for all women. They also do a lot of work breaking down taboos and opening up conversations for people who lose babies, at any stage.

So far Dan and I have raised a little over £5,000 for Tommy’s, through a combination of charity sales and sponsored running – a project I’ve nicknamed Miles For Miscarriage. Last year, I ran the London Landmarks Half Marathon, and this year both of us are running the Royal Parks Half for Tommy’s. If you’d like to sponsor me, you can do so here.

For more information about the kind of work Tommy’s makes possible see here and here.
